Greetings all, Shardvixen here.  This blog is going to be a companion to my videos, when I start the "From the Den" series.  This series will be commentaries on popular or unpopular movies, books, graphic novels, art and other cultural items which have either influence me somehow or added to my love of all things weird and unusual.  I may also comment on another series I plan to make called "Crazy Crafty Fox's Hobbies" which will be a look into my artistic side.
Me, as an artist is like the medium trail. If it works for me that is all I care about.  If I am making it for someone else, I may work harder at it.  I believe everything can be modified and it is fun to watch others take an idea and make it theirs as long as they give credit where it came from.  Even if it is "I saw a video on how to make a recycled ottoman.  I liked how it was done but I think I could do it better, different, easier, funkier, ect.... Here is the original work by(whoever or whatever) and here is my take."  This is true of anything I make that is mine.
The funny thing is there are few true original ideas anymore.  We, as humans or foxes, have been on the planet too long even when factoring in lost history or cultures.  Mostly what we are doing now is modifying or morphing things to reflect us as individuals.
I welcome into my world people who want to modify or morph things I have done, all I ask is to share the original and to share with me the result of the morph.  Maybe I won't like all of the end results but that is art.
Going back to the series"From the Den" it will not be a review, but more a commentary which I hope will spark discussion through all of my social media.  Right now it is just getting everything ready.
I plan on being myself, Shardvixen, the human slash fox hybrid.   So I have to finish my doll avatar and my costume before we can create the videos.  I will give plenty of warning before it starts.
The hardest thing beside learning all the technology in making videos is getting my name out there.  Hopefully "you" will help with that.  As thoughts ramble around in my head, I will try to get them on film and in the blog.  Let me know how I am doing! Catch you all on the flip side!
